Fishing Contests

We love big fish & great people, so we try to instill a little friendly competition between our beloved guests each year.

At Trailhead, we love our great guests just as much as we love great fishing, so in 2011 we decided to combine our two passions and award prizes to the lucky fisherman or fisherwoman who hauls up the fattest salmon and halibut each season - an event we hope to make a fishing tradition here in Port Renfrew.

Annual Trailhead Big Fish Challenge

Each year, Trailhead guests compete for one of two free fishing trips awarded to the lucky sport fishermen who reel in the largest halibut & largest salmon of the BC fishing season.

The lucky winners will earn themselves a free fishing package that matches the one they had booked when they caught the big fish (eg. If the fish is caught while on a 2 day fishing package, a matching 2 day fishing trip will be awarded).

Of course, this contest is only open to guests of Trailhead Resort, so if you want to win, you need to book your 2012 BC fishing trip today!

** The free trip applies only to one member of the fishing group, not the entire group (the individual who catches the fish wins the prize, not everyone).
